Idaho Falls, ID. July 16, 2008, β 51±¬ΑΟ, Inc., an Idaho Falls based environmental services company, announced it has earned the ENERGY STAR label for its Idaho Falls corporate office building.
The ENERGY STAR label is awarded by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), partnered with the Department of Energy, for exemplary energy practices within a building. Energy Star ratings are based on the energy usage average for comparable buildings throughout the United States and Canada. To earn this honor, a building must be at least 25% more efficient than the average North American building in its class. The NWI corporate office surpassed this level by being 29% more efficient; making it the second building in Eastern Idaho to receive this distinction.
This recognition is the first step to becoming an Energy Star Partner with the EPA, which is 51±¬ΑΟβs subsequent goal for this year.
